Smith: I thought 330-340 was par. 380 was a big total. You need a lot of things to go right chasing such a big total. Warner set the tone at the start. Marsh played well at the end and Head played well again. I was going to bat. Generally a good ground to bat first on. The wicket can get abrasive and the ball can reverse at night. It's really exciting. Cummins came back well tonight. Tonight he switched it on, bowled at good pace, was smart with his plans. He's an exciting prospect. Want to end the series well. It's been a long time that we've won a series.
Williamson: They played very well. The perfect performance really. It was tough to come back from, chasing 380 is very tough to chase. They bowled very well too. If we knew they are going to get 380 then yes [whether he'd have batted first in retrospect]. If we could have taken wickets in the end overs, we could have restricted them to a total which was par. He [talking about Neesham's bruise] should be okay. We have a pretty young side, it's a fantastic experience. Lots to learn from this trip. Death overs have hurt us. With the bat, we have to take partnerships deeper.
Warner: It was a fantastic wicket, always is here at Manuka. We know that if we keep wickets in hand, big runs are always on the cards later. That was the key, bat big and keep wickets in hand. The way Marsh finished it off was amazing. Early on I wasn't hitting it as well as I would have liked. But it's about getting into your innings. The other day I played a lazy stroke. Today I wanted to knuckle down. Always good to bat with Smith. We know each other's game so well. The format I thought was probably isn't my greatest. This year has been fantastic and I want to keep going as well as I can.
