Virat Kohli, Gambhir raise up in ICC ODI Rankings

ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsmen, India's Virat Kohli has climbed five places to fourth position after scores of 37 and 112 not out in Hyderabad and New Delhi, respectively.

Kohli's team-mate GautamGambhir has also improved his ranking and now jointly shares the 11th position with Jacques Kallis after scores of 32 and 84 not out.

ICC Team and Player Rankings

The West Indies' Lendl Simmons and team-mate Marlon Samuels are the biggest movers in the latest rankings which were released on Monday evening after the second ODI between India and England in New Delhi. Simmons has rocketed 22 places to 27th spot after hitting 122 and 80 in the two ODIs in Mirpur while Samuels has shot up 33 places to 74th position.

The batting table is still headed by South Africa captain HashimAmla while an injured AB de Villiers is second and Australia's Shane Watson is third.

In the ICC Player Rankings for ODI bowlers, England's Graeme Swann continues to lead the table with New Zealand's Daniel Vettori second. West Indies' Ravi Rampaul in the biggest mover in this category, having gained 12 places after figures of 2-35 and 2-27 against Bangladesh in Mirpur. This is his career-best ranking to date and he is easily West Indies' highest-ranked bowler with captain Darren Sammy sitting in 31st position.

India's RavichandranAshwin and RavindraJadeja have also gained valuable spots. Ashwin is now in 36th position after rising five places while Jadeja has climbed six places to 38th spot. India's fast bowler Praveen Kumar has also returned to the top 20 in 20th position.

Bangladesh's former captain Shakib Al Hasan is the other notable bowler to make an upward movement. The left-arm spinner has climbed three places to 14th spot.
