Vidarbha are favourites to win the Plate Semi-Final match against Hyderabd as they reached a solid total of 467 for 8 by the close of Day 2 at the VCA Stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur. While it may not be an outright win, Vidarbha could walk through with a first innings lead as Hyderabad have a mountain to climb.
When play started on Day 2, it looked even-stevens with the hosts at 225 for 5 but the trio of Ranjit Paradkar (75 from 193 balls with 8 fours), Amol Jungade (92* from 219 balls with 9 fours and a six) and Akshay Wakhare (50* from 149 balls with 5 fours) made a feat of the Hyderabadi bowling. For the Hyderabadis, off-spinner Ahmed Quadri picked up three wickets.
