India medium-pace bowler Praveen Kumar has been ruled out of the World Cup and replaced in the squad by Shanthakumaran Sreesanth.
Uttar Pradesh seamer Praveen sustained an elbow injury during India's recent tour of South Africa which forced him to return home midway through the one-day series.
Sreesanth was given the nod after selectors opted for him over Ishant Sharma and Vinay Kumar.
The 28-year-old is a regular starter in the Test side but has played just 51 one-day internationals in more than five years since his debut in 2005.
The tournament gets under way with a match between co-hosts India and Bangladesh in Dhaka on February 19.
