Australia demolished the Pakistani bowling attack at Gros Islet to post an intimidating total of 191 after winning the toss. Apart from a highly dramatic last over that saw five wickets going down along with a maiden, it was all Australia's domination through a stroke-filled third wicket stand of 98 between Shane Watson and David Hussey. With both batsmen competing with each other in hitting sixes, Australia rocketed their way to a massive total. Watson smacked 7 fours and 4 sixes in his 81 which came in just 49 balls. David Hussey on the other hand clobbered five sixes and 2 fours in a 29-ball 53.

Mohammad Aamer was the one bowling the magic last over in which not even a single run was scored. Aamer missed the hat-trick but Pakistan got five wickets in five consecutive deliveries which included two direct hits from Wicket Keeper Kamran Akmal. The Pakistani fielding otherwise was simply terrible with quite a few catches going down along with the fumbles.

The Aussies are favourites by a long way to win this match and it certainly is a big test for the Pakistani batsmen against the high quality attack.
