Deccan Chargers lost yet another contest at their home ground at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, this time despite posting 175 on the board and then reducing their opponents to 86 for 4. It was a single handed knock of 119 from 56 balls with 13 fours and half a dozen sixes from Skipper Virender Sehwag which powered Delhi to a superb 4-wicket win with an over to spare.
Earlier, DC who were asked to bat first by Delhi put up 175 for 5 with JP Duminy scoring a lovely 55 from 31 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes. His efforts went in vain because of Sehwag's brilliant ton in the latter half of the match. Dale Steyn and Ishant Sharma were hot for the hosts taking two wickets each and conceding very little but the deadly fast bowling duo couldn't prevent Sehwag from winning the game in style for Delhi.
