Bangladesh are holding fort pretty firmly having conceded a massive first innings total of 505 to England at Lord's. The visitors are decently placed at 172 for 2 with the most important thing being that they have batted out 53 overs by Stumps on Day 2. Opener Tamim Iqbal led the way with a breezy 55 from 62 balls (with 8 fours) while one drop batsman Junaid Siddique is the set batsman in the middle with a patient unbeaten 53 from 105 balls (with 8 fours). The visitors got a nice opening stand of 88 with Imrul Kayes scoring a promising 43 as well.

The Bangladeshi innings started about an hour to go for Tea, prior to that Lord's saw Jonatthan Trott register a maiden double century. Resuming on an overnight score of 175, Trott went onto make 226 (from 349 balls with 20 fours). For Bangladesh, there was some consolation with the ball as fast bowler Shahadat Hossain picked up a five-wicket haul while conceding only 98 runs in his 28 overs.
