Australia found its first success against England on this tour with a massive 99-run win in the Second ODI at Old Trafford on Sunday. The comprehensive victory was set up by Skipper Michael Clarke, who scored his first ODI ton against England along with Vice-Captain George Bailey.
England eased to a 6-wicket win at Dublin over minnows Ireland in a one-off ODI on Tuesday. Ireland may have lost the match by some margin but it was yet another impressive show from the babies of international cricket.
England have rested as many as five players including Skipper Alastair Cook for their 5-match ODI Series against Australia which begins on the 6th of September. Ian Bell is the only other batsman to be rested apart from Cook. The bowling trio of James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann are all rested.
