Chennai Super Kings kept their dominance intact in IPL 7 beating Rajasthan Royals at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi by 5 wickets. Skipper MS Dhoni clinched yet another thrilling victory for his team which needed 12 runs from the final over of the match from James Faulkner. Dhoni scored an unbeaten 26 from 16 balls as CSK chased down the target of 149 with two balls to spare.

Chennai were well placed in the run chase following a 35-ball 44 from opener Dwayne Smith. Faf du Plessis contributed 38 from 39 balls. Ravindra Jadeja who chipped in with 11* from 6 balls to go along with his bowling figures of 4-0-18-2 got the Man of the Match award.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals kept on losing wickets to end up with a modest total of 148 for 8. Skipper Shane Watson who opened the innings top scored with 51 from 36 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. For CSK, Mohit Sharma bowled well for his 3 for 31 in 4 overs which included the prized wicket of Watson. Samuel Badree returned with cheap figures of 1 for 19 in 4 overs while Jadeja also strangled the batsmen with the turn off the pitch.

Toss and Teams: Rajasthan Royals have won the toss and elected to bat first in Match 37 of IPL 7 against Chennai Super Kings at Ranchi. Rajasthan have made three changes with Dishant Yagnik, Kevon Cooper and Ankit Sharma replacing Sanju Samson, Kane Richardson and Rahul Tewatia. CSK have made one change with Vijay Shankar replacing Mithun Manhas.
