Wicket Keeper batsman Kamran Akmal is all set to make an international comeback after finding his name in the Pakistan 30-man probables for the upcoming Twenty20 World Championship in Sri Lanka. It is learnt that the Pakistan Selectors had to look upto Kamran Akmal again as a lot of other Keepers tried out after him couldn’t really deliver with the bat as they would like to.
The 30-year-old Kamran Akmal was recently cleared by PCB’s integrity committee which now makes him eligible to be named in the national squad. Kamran was previously barred from selection because of spot-fixing and match fixing allegations on him.
Apart from Kamran Akmal, the Pakistan Selectors have also named discarded internationals – all-rounder Abdul Razzaq and opening batsman Imran Nazir among the probables.
The 2012 edition of the T20 World Cup to be played in Sri Lanka will start on 18th of September.
