A hail storm in Chittagong abruptly ended the Group 1 match between England and New Zealand. There was a result though in favour of the Kiwis as they were ahead of the D/L par target by 9 runs.

A hail storm in Chittagong abruptly ended the Group 1 match between England and New Zealand. There was a result though in favour of the Kiwis as they were ahead of the D/L par target by 9 runs. The Kiwi innings saw just 5.2 overs in which they scored 52 for 1.

Skipper Brendon McCullum read the situation very well to score two sixes off his counterpart Stuart Broad to put New Zealand past the D/L score.

Earlier, England batted quite well to post 172 for 6. Michael Lumb with a 24-ball 33 and Moeen Ali with an impressive 36 from 23 balls set the tone for a big total. New Zealand managed to curtail the scoring by taking some great catches.

Wicket Keeper Jo Buttler scored 32 from 23 balls while Ravi Bopara got 24* from 19 balls gave a good finish to the English innings. The Man of the Match award went to Corey J Anderson for his 2 for 32 and a couple of catches.

Toss and Teams: New Zealand have won the toss and elected to bowl first against England at Chittagong.
