The Hyderabad franchise team of the Indian Premier League – Deccan Chargers is sadly heading towards a termination! Deccan Chronicle Holdings, the owner of the team has been looking for prospective buyers to sell it off as the company itself has come under huge debts of the tunes of Rs. 5000 crores. Today the DC owners received just a single bid which they refused because of some disagreement on payment terms.

The Deccan Holdings today received a bid of 900 Crores Rs. from a Hyderabad-based company under the name PVP Ventures Limited. Despite the amount being a huge one, the Deccan Holdings surprisingly rejected the sole bid they got and thus failed to complete the deal.

Now the fate of the Deccan Chargers franchise is in the BCCI’s hands. The BCCI is likely to terminate the Deccan Chargers team just like it had done to the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. If the Chargers do get terminated from the IPL, then there is a possibility of a new team being floated to represent Hyderabad for which the BCCI will be setting up auction in the near future.
