Once regarded as a precious batting talent, Mohammad Ashraful has failed to even keep a place in the Bangladeshi national team. Ashraful was expected to be the big hope of Bangladesh batting but sadly his talent has been wasted only because of his indiscreet shot selection.

Once regarded as a precious batting talent, Mohammad Ashraful has failed to even keep a place in the Bangladeshi national team. Ashraful was expected to be the big hope of Bangladesh batting but sadly his talent has been wasted only because of his indiscreet shot selection.

The diminutive Ashraful now has another opportunity to make an international comeback after he was selected in the 15-man Bangladesh squad to take part in the upcoming unofficial Zimbabwe Triangular T20 Series.

Mohammad AshrafulAshraful will be looking to impress the new Bangladesh Coach Richard Pybus to make it to the squad for the Twenty20 World Championship in Sri Lanka. Apart from Ashraful, Junaid Siddique also gets a recall from the Selectors. The axe has fallen on Nazimuddin and Jahurul Islam. On the other side, fast bowler Shafiul Islam will be missing the Tri Series because of his shoulder injury sustained during the Asia Cup.
