We are week into the Caribbean Premier League. Here’s a look at how the tournament has panned out so far.

Jamaica Tallawahs are on top of the table with two wins from as many games, and a net run rate of +0.525. Guyana Amazon Warriors are in second place, also with two wins from as many games, but with a lower net run rate of +0.301.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are in third place, with one win and three losses and a net run rate of +0.450. Barbados Tridents are in fourth place with one win and one loss and a net run rate of +0.105

Trinbago Knight Riders are fifth with one win and three losses from four games, but a poor net run rate of -0.301. St Lucia Zouks are in last place with one win and one loss from two games, at a net run rate of -1.236.

Match-wise update: In the first game, St Lucia Zouks beat Trinbago Knight Riders by six wickets. Darren Bravo made an unbeaten 63 for Riders, but Johnson Charles’ half-century took Zouks to victory. In the second game, Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by four wickets with one ball to spare. Sohail Tanvir claimed four wickets for Guyana while Dwayne Smith made 62. Trinbago Knight Riders defeated Barbados Tridents by 11 runs. Hashim Amla was the star performer with 81 from 54 balls.

Jamaica Tallawahs defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by five runs in the fourth match. Chris Gayle scored 51 for Jamaica while Kesrick Williams’ three-for took them to victory. In the fifth game, Guyana Amazon Warriors got the better of Trinbago Knight Riders by six wickets. Colin Munro smashed a brilliant unbeaten 100 for Riders, but Chris Lynn’s 77 from 43 took them to win.

In the sixth game, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots beat St Lucia Zouks by an impressive margin of 58 runs. Batting first, Ewin Lewis smashed 73 from 36, as Patriots finished with 203 for 7. In reply, Zouks managed only 145 for 5. Game number seven of the series saw Trinbago Knight Riders beat lose to Jamaica Tallawahs by seven wickets. Amla’s 74 lead Riders to 191, but Gayle blasted an unbeaten 108 from 54 balls to see Jamaica through to an imposing triumph.

In the eighth match of the series, Barbados Tridents defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by seven wickets. Batting first, Patriots made 162 for 8, with Ewin Lewis scoring exactly 50. But, Tridents chased down the target with ease, with Shoaib Malik making 54 and AB de Villiers smashing an unbeaten 63 from 33.
