The International Cricket Council (ICC) has introduced a penalty system for overs that are bowled late by a fielding side. The bowling team will get 60 seconds between overs. Five runs will be added to the batting side’s total if such a delay happens three times in an innings.

In a landmark decision, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday, July 13, announced equal prize money for men’s and women’s teams at ICC events. The fifth and final Test of the series between India and England did not go ahead after visitors decided to not take part in the match after COVID-19 their camp. While the series currently stands 2-1 in India’s favour, a decision is yet to be taken over whether the final Test stands cancelled or will be considered forfeited by India.

On expected lines, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has postponed this year's ICC T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in Australia in October-November due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The deferment means there will be two back-to-back T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022 followed by the 50-over World Cup in India in 2023.

PCB chairman Ehsan Mani has pulled out of the race for ICC chief, according to a Mumbai Mirror report. The development means that current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly stands a greater chance of grabbing the post in case he contests the elections.

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has hit out at the International Cricket Council (ICC), stating that their batsmen-friendly rules have been responsible for finishing cricket in the last 10 years.
