After clinching the five-match T20I series 5-0, Team India have had a horrendous time of it on the tour of New Zealand. They lost the three-match ODI series 0-3, and now are 0-1 down in the two-match Test series.
India succumbed to their first loss in the World Test Championship, going down to New Zealand by 10 wickets in the Wellington Test, the first game of a two-match series. Resuming day four at 144 for 4, still trailing by 39 runs, India were bowled out for 191 as man of the match Tim Southee picked up 5 for 61 and Trent Boult 4 for 39.
Hosts New Zealand edged further away from India on Day three of the Wellington Test as the visitors struggled for survival. After 40s from Colin de Grandhomme and Kyle Jamieson, Trent Boult further frustrated the Indians with 38 from 24 as the Kiwis replied with 348 to India’s 165. Ishant Sharma finished with 5 for 68 for India while Ravichandran Ashwin claimed 3 for 99.
