Fawad Ahmed, a 31-year-old leg spinner, has become the second player from Pakistan to be chosen in an Australian national squad. Ahmed, who was born in the North-West Frontier Province, left Pakistan in 2010 and had asked for refugee status in Australia claiming that he was facing threat from terrorists who were preventing him from playing and coaching cricket.

When former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar pressed Hussain to get the names that he referred to as donkeys few days ago for sloppy fielding, he hinted at Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar and Parthiv Patil.
Former India cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin on Friday strongly objected to ex-England skipper Nasser Hussain's comparison of Indian cricketers to 'donkeys', saying that the Englishman must apologise to the team and the players for his comment.
