Mahela Jayawardene to lead Sri Lanka for CB Tri-Series

Sri Lanka have named Mahela Jayawardene as their Captain for the upcoming Commonwealth Bank Tri-Series in Australia. The Lankan Selectors have also named a 15-man squad for the Tri-Series which also has Tillakaratne Dilshan who handed over his resignation from captaincy just a few hours back!

Vice-Captain Angelo Mathews has been retained in the same position.

The Lankans have given a recall to all-rounder Farveez Maharoof who returns to the ODI side after an year. Left arm quick Chanaka Welegedara has been included as well following his good performance in the Tests against South Africa recently. The axe has fallen on fast bowler Dilhara Fernando who remains to be an inconsistent performer for Sri Lanka over the years.
