The proceedings will begin at 11:00 am. The auction will be conducted by Richard Madley, a professional auctioneer from England who has conducted each of the previous IPL player auctions. The proceedings will be telecast live on SONY SIX.

Mumbai Indians make a very late bid for Ponting, after the auctioneer says unsold. The auctioneer allows Mumbai's bid. No one else bids for Ponting. Mumbai buy Ponting at base price of $400,000.

RCB raise the bidding for RP Singh to $400,000. Sunrisers drop out of the bidding. RP Singh sold to RCB for $400,000.

Delhi take it up to $450k for Botha. He was sold for $950k at the last auction to Rajasthan. they haven't bid for him this time. Botha sold to Delhi for $450K.

There are no other bids for Clarke. Pune buy Clarke back at $400k, much less than they bought him for during the previous IPL season.

James Faulkner, sold to Rajasthan Royals for $400,000.

Mumbai Indians make an opening bid for Glenn Maxwell at $200,000. Sunrisers also want him. The bid is at 300k with Mumbai, Sunrisers make a 325 bid, Mumbai go up to 350 .... Mumbai have it again at 500k for Maxwell!

The bids keep spiralling for Maxwell ...and it's going up fast. Just Sunrisers and Mumbai bidding. Raising in 25k intervals. Mumbai have the bid at the moment at 800k. Sunrisers raise to 825k. Mumbai have the bid at 900k and finally the bidding slows down a li .... Sunrisers raise to 925

Jesse Ryder, who's been in awesome form in the HRV cup, on sale at $100k. Delhi make the opening bid. RCB drops out of the bidding for Ryder, Delhi buy Jesse Ryder at $260k.

Darren Sammy is up next, base price $100k. Kolkata have bid for the first time today and it's for the West Indies captain. Sunrisers buy Sammy at $400k.

Jaydev Unadkat Base price $100,000. Indian fast bowlers are usually rare commodities and Delhi open the bidding. RCB buy Unadkat at 525k.

Delhi vs RCB for Pankaj Singh. Delhi have it at $120k, RCB take a while but raise, Delhi are quicker to go higher. RCB make a $150k bid for Pankaj. RCB buy him at 150k.

Mumbai takes ages to raise and they say $270k, RCB raises immediately. The bid for Rampaul is with RCB at $290k. Mumbai drop out of the contest. RCB buy Rampaul at $290,000. They've bought three fast bowlers in a row. Unadkat, Pankaj and Rampaul.

Manpreet Gony, base price $200,000. Punjab open the bidding for Gony The second bid is very late and it comes from Sunrisers, and after that pause the bids go up quickly, it's with Punjab at 260k. Punjab buy Gony at $500,000.

Fidel Edwards sold to Rajasthan Royals for $210,000.

Sudeep Tyagi, base price $100k. Tyagi to Sunrisers at $100k.

Dirk Nannes is the last fast bowler on sale, base price $200,000. CSK made a opening bid, Pune make the second bid. Nannes sold to Chennai at $600,000.

Mumbai Indians make the first bid for Ajantha Mendis at $50k. Pune also want him . Kolkata enter the bidding for Mendis, and it's them vs Pune now. They also have Narine in their squad. Pune have the bid for Mendis at 575k. KKR bid $600,000. Pune Warriors finally buy Mendis at $725,000.

Among fast bowlers it is Ben Cutting, Josh Hazlewood, Clint McKay. Among batsmen - Ben Rohrer, Henry Davids, Rilee Rossouw. Allrounders - Kevin O'Brien, Jacob Oram, West Indies fast bowler Jason Holder, Rory Kleinveldt, Ben Laughlin, Travis Birt, Christopher Barnwell and Kane Richardson.

So Sri Lanka's Maharoof is up on sale first. Base price $50k. But no one has bid for him. Unsold.
