India Women’s Test and ODI skipper Mithali Raj has stated that she doesn’t seek validation from people as she has been playing cricket for such a long time. Raj was reacting to a query, surrounding criticism of her strike rate.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to send the name of women’s cricket legend Mithali Raj for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. Apart from Mithali, the BCCI will also send in the name of men’s team off-spinner R Ashwin for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.
Indian women’s Test and ODI captain Mithali Raj has asserted whatever issues there were between her and head coach Ramesh Powar are a thing of the past. According to Raj, like mature individuals, both have moved on and are now working towards a common goal of taking Indian women’s cricket forward. The Indian women’s team is currently quarantining in Mumbai ahead of England tour.
